This page is a guide, not the spec.
If the drawings call for a named mix, additive or maximum slump, send that with the quote request. That is how we batch the right load.
Mixes
If you already have an engineer’s spec, send it with the quote. If you are pouring a driveway, path or pad and you are not sure of the grade, tell us the job. We will recommend the mix.
Send the engineer’s specification with your quote request and we will go through it with our plant engineer and plant manager. We do not publish prices — every job is quoted.
Slump, fibre, oxide and exposed finishes are agreed on the quote so the load that turns up is the load you planned.
| Grade | Typical use | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 20 MPa | Residential driveways and paths (IB 80 starting point); also common for many pads | CCANZ IB 80 residential driveway starting point. Paths similar. |
| 25 MPa | Foundations and slabs where the spec calls for it; heavier driveways and exposed work | Confirm traffic, exposure and finish when you order. |
| Any strength | Hardscaping and other non-structural work | The mix is assessed against the required strength and spec. |
| Above 25 MPa, structural or engineered | Structural or engineered work | Goes through our plant engineer. A sample is taken from every truck, and sampling costs are charged to the customer. |
17.5 MPa appears on many NZS 3604 specs for protected slabs — ask if you need that grade.

Available when we can source the oxide or aggregate for the date you need. We will confirm colour before you promise it to a client.
